Meet the special people who diligently put their time and talents
into making Latter-Day Woman Magazine the magazine that is read by
LDS women across the globe.

Daryll M Jonnson – Publisher & Founder

Born in the United Kingdom and a convert with a lifetime of experiences in and out of the Church, Daryll has a great desire to help women know and appreciate their divine nature and worth.
It is for this reason she founded Latter-Day Woman — a place where she can offer free services such as Latter-Day Woman magazine to women around the world so they can feel a greater connection to each other as we all strive to be good LDS women today.
Daryll is married to Jerry and they have three sons and three daughters. She also has four grandsons and two grand-daughters all of who fill her life with joy. Daryll feels blessed to currently serve as the Compassionate Service leader in the Cascade Crest Ward, Bend, Oregon Stake.

Kim Christenson – Editor-in-Chief
Kim has been writing ever since she could hold a pencil — or so her mom says. Kim graduated from BYU with a degree in English and went on to work as public relations specialist for Covenant Communications, then associate editor for Utah Valley Magazine.
She spent her high school years in Australia and enjoyed the eye-opening experience of being one of only a few members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in her entire K-12 school.
Kim enjoys reading good books, eating great food, exercising (to work it off) and watching ”Gilmore Girls” re-runs. She also dabbles in voice over and acting. Kim currently lives in Utah with her husband and their baby girl.

Jessica Peterson – Art Director & Graphic Designer
Jessica is the art director for Latter Day Woman Magazine and loves the opportunity to make beautiful pages and connect with women all over the world. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in art and visual communications, with an emphasis in graphic design. She also works as a freelance graphic artist, specializing in wedding invitations, logos, business identities and all kinds of custom lovelies.
As a Utah native, Jessica loves visiting Lake Powell, being outdoors, baking and cooking, and going to the symphony. She and husband Todd are expecting baby number one, August 1, and couldn’t be more excited.

Heather Carson – Advisor
Heather loves to create. Her memories of childhood are filled with making things. She was always working on some sort of project—and sometimes trying to sell them to her neighbors. When Heather discovered the career of design during college, she couldn’t get enough. Heather got a BA in Design and got to play around with industrial design, photography, illustration, interior design and graphic design.
Since leaving school, Heather has worked most of the time in graphic design—for other design companies and now on her own. She have done projects in the other disciplines as well. Heather is a serial entrepreneur and she loves to create logos, branding, and business identity materials. But she can’t stay away from anything creative for too long. Since having a family, she added sewing, crocheting, and general mess-making to her list of creative adventures. She could spend hours in the art store deciding which supply or technique to try out next.
Heather has a passion for vintage goods, simple design, and loves to re-mix old stuff into new things. She loves giving thrifted things new life. She is a mom and a wife, and works from her home studio along side her kids, who love to make art messes as much as she does.

I am a mommy to four fan-tabulous children: Dasher Paul, Emmah Louise, Bosston Nicholas, and Lucy Edith; let’s not forget I have the love of my life, my Mr. his name is Nicholas Paul! We live in a little (1176 sq ft.) red home in St. Helens, Oregon.
Growing up, I lived in many different places, with my dad being a Marine, we got to see both oceans, and a little in between. From California, to Colorado, farther east to North Carolina, and then back to the midwest of Missouri. I went to Mesa State College in Grand Junction, Colorado, then traveled to the great Northwest, where I met my Mr. and have lived here since.
I LOVE to blog, and read other blogs. I enjoy being in the kitchen making messes, eating yummy food, and even cleaning up messes. I enjoy reading a good book, maybe quilting, being outside, and laughing. I have been known to make jokes every once in awhile. My children are my greatest accomplishment, and I adore each second I am with them. I currently teach Relief Society, and also serve in the Stake Young Womens for Girls Camp. My favorite color is green, I love chocolate dipped macaroons, and rocky road ice cream, and shooting some arrows with my awesome bow. I love being a wife, mom and latter day woman!
